The Epson L1250 is a member of the EcoTank series, renowned for its refillable ink tank system. Like all inkjet printers, it employs a maintenance routine to clean its print heads. This means the software cannot detect the printer. Fix this by closing the program, replacing the USB cable, changing to a different USB port directly on the motherboard, and ensuring no other print jobs are stuck in the Windows print queue.
