या ग्रंथाची भाषा ओवीबद्ध असल्याने पैलू हीच त्याची सर्वात मोठी ताकद आहे. पूर्वी ग्रंथ अनेक हस्तलिखितांद्वारे हस्तांतरित केला जात असे; भारतात छापखाना सुरू झाल्यानंतर १८९२ सालापासून हा ग्रंथ छापील स्वरूपात उपलब्ध झाला.
