The game has glitched, swapping the avatars of the players. Spencer’s Grandpa Eddie (Danny DeVito) and his estranged friend, Milo Walker (Danny Glover), are accidentally pulled into the game and take control of Dr. Smolder Bravestone (Dwayne Johnson) and Finbar (Kevin Hart), while Martha remains in the body of Ruby Roundhouse and Fridge finds himself trapped in the body of Professor Shelly Oberon (Jack Black). The group must work together to traverse new, unexplored environments—from scorching deserts and crumbling ruins to frigid, snowy mountains—in order to retrieve a magical necklace and defeat a new warlord, all while learning to trust each other and navigate the hilarious chaos of being in the wrong bodies.
