Courts are less flexible with postponed dates. Having already moved your service once, they expect you to show up this time. Second postponements are harder to get.
The court will mail you a new summons with a new reporting date. This could arrive:

If given the option to choose a new date,
Requesting a postponement three days before your date when you've known about the conflict for two months looks bad. Courts assume you're irresponsible or lying.

Note: Courts vary widely in what they accept. Urgent or recent conflicts are more likely to be granted than vague or indefinite requests. Plan ahead and be specific.
